The basic idea is to promote awareness of issues to foster community spirit and good neighbourliness. In fact, it can embrace all the issues raised at the initial community meeting on safety.
What we've proposed for Telegraph Hill Neighbourhood Watch
Telegraph Hill Neighbourhood Watch will rely on modern electronic communication and the involvement of locals to keep hill-ites better informed and to allow us a stronger lobbying voice when improvements are needed or concerns arise.
We will network with the Telegraph Hill Society, the Festival, local schools, The Hill web site, Churches and others where possible to tap into local concerns and strengthen our voice. The scheme's boundaries will be the same as for the Telegraph Hill Society. Please keep us informed of your concerns. The Aim… "To improve community safety and reduce crime for the benefit of all those living, working and visiting the Telegraph Hill area."
